This journey takes approximately 10 hours from Bangalore to reach Villa Casuarina.
Take the NH-48 (Bangalore-Hubli highway) upto Bankapur Toll Gate (Bankapur comes right after Ranebennur and Haveri). Just after the Bankapur Toll Gate take the left diversion to Yellapur.
Optional: While travelling to Yellapur from Bankapur, take a diversion at Mundgod to visit the Tibetan colony (30 kilometers after you leave the Bangalore-Hubli highway at Bankapur). The Doeguling Tibetan Settlement is one of the few Tibetan settlements in South India.
From Yellapur take the Hubli-Karwar road to go to Gokarna via Ramanguli and Agasur. This route goes through the Western Ghats a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Optional: While travelling to Gokarna from Yellapur, take a diversion to Magod Falls just 3 kilometers after Yellapur. It is just 13 kilometers from the main-road (Hubli-Karwar road).
Take the left turn at Baleguli (Ankola) and drive upto Madangeri via NH-66 where you will be taking a right to go to Gokarna.
From Madangeri, follow the Google Maps suggested route to Villa Casuarina via Devarabhavi. This should take you through Sanikatta, the oldest salt manufacturing village in Karnataka.
